The African Wild Ass (A.K.A African Wild Donkey) is a mammal part of the horse family. They live in parts of northeastern Africa that have deserts. The African Wild Ass is around 2 m (6.6 ft) long is weighs around 230-275 kg (510-610 lb). This animal communicates by talking. Their voices can be heard from around 3 km (1.9 mi). They mostly eat grasses, bark, and leaves and their fur colour is a light shade of grey. Some species of the wild ass have black stripes on their legs.
