The American Black Bear (Ursus Americanus) is a black bear that lives in North American. They live in large forests and on well-vegetated mountains. The Black Bear lives about 400- 3000 m (1300- 9800 ft) above the ground. This species of bear is the smallest bear in North America, being around 120- 200 cm (47- 79 in) long and weighing about 41- 250 kg (90- 551 lb). There about 396,000- 476,000 bears throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Northwest Territories, and Saskatchewan. They eat grasses, foots, berries, insects, and fish and they have black fur.
