The Agouti is a rodent that lives in Middle America, Northern and Central South America, and the Southern Lesser Antilles. They weigh 2.4- 6 kg (5.3- 13.2 lb) and is 44.5- 76 cm (17.5- 29 in) long. They're fur colour is brown, red, dull orange, grey, and black. In a period of 3 months, a female Agouti will give birth to about 2-4 young. In Trinidad and Tobago, Agoutis are famous for being fast runners. They use that speed to chase dogs for hours throughout the country. Here are some species of the Agouti: Azara's Agouti, the Black Agouti, the Coiban Agouti, Kalinowski's Agouti, and the Mexican Agouti.
