Hello again! It's me Anthony, back with another post, Axolotl Recap. Let's start the recap!
An Axolotl is an amphibian that lives in Lake Xochimilco and Lake Chalco. It is a light animal, weighing about 3.6 kg (8 lb) and is only 30 cm (12 in) long! It's nickname is "The Walking Fish". The Axolotl's scientific name is Ambystoma Mexicanum. Their lifespan is short, being between 10- 15 years. They are white coloured with pink frills coming out of the top of them. Axolotl's eat worms, insects, small fish, and salamanders, which means they're carnivores.
That's it for this week's animal! Next week we'll be learning about the Aye-Aye. Stay tuned!
Sincerely,
Anthony
