Arowana Basic Facts

An Arowana is a red, gold, blue, and silver fish that eats mealworms, crickets, grasshoppers, shrimp, and small frogs, so they are Carnivores. Their scientific name is Osteoglossidae. They have the nickname the Water Monkey. Arowana's live in aquariums and have a lifespan of 10- 20 years. They weigh around 7 kg (15.4 lb) and are around 90 cm (3 ft) in length.
