Auk Basic Facts

An Auk is a bird that looks like a small African Penguin. Their scientific name Alcidae. Did you know that there are 21 species of Auk? This species of bird lives in North America and Europe. Auk's have a weight of 5 kg (11 lb) and are 75- 85 cm (30- 33 in) long. They eat crustaceans, invertebrates, and small fish, which makes them Carnivore's. These "penguins" have black fur with a white stomach. They have a lifespan of 20- 25 years.
