Ant Basic Facts

An Ant is a tiny mammal that lives in Eastern United States. Their scientific name is Formicidae. They are insects that weigh about 1- 5 mg and are 0.5- 0.7 cm (0.1- 0.2 in) long. Did you know that their are 22,000 species of ants? They eat seeds, nectar, and invertebrates, so they are Omnivores. Some of their many colours are black, brown, and red. They have a lifespan of 15 years.
