Anaconda Basic Facts

The Anaconda is a massive snake (reptile), the largest snake in the world. Their scientific name is Eunectes Murinus. They live in tropical South America and are carnivore. They weigh about 227 kg (550 lb) which is heavier than a piano. They are around 3- 4.6 m (9.8- 15 ft) long and have around a 10 year lifespan. Anaconda's eat fish, birds, tapirs, wild pigs, capybaras, and caimans (a relative of crocodile). They can stay underwater for 10 minutes!
